Description
This is one of two dark city renderings that I've made. This one's centerpiece building was created using a fractal-based height map.
Like many of my Bryce works, this piece took 15-20 hours to render. Of course, Bryce was never known for fast rendering... it's one of the slowest 3D rendering engines out there, but it's also one of the highest quality ones... which is why I keep using it.
The end product is definitely one of my favorite works... the fog provides a nice depth effect between the spires, and the seemingly infinite amount of spires makes for a great sense of distance.
